Where the Prison Key fits in progression
The Prison Key comes after the Iron Key casting task. NPC Tips' demo key guide places it in a small chest beyond the Iron Key door, beside the Jaguar Door area.
Search the small chests in that area. Some key placements vary, so use the Iron Key door as the landmark rather than relying on one exact chest position.
Separate the prison approach from the key chest
The prison approach is the Small Key branch beside the crates in the main camp. That is different from the Iron Key door where you searched for the late-demo key.
For this leg, make space for the Prison Key and a Torch. The lock and the web blocker need different answers, so arriving with only the key can leave you stuck just short of the door.
Clear the webs with a Torch
- Identify the web-covered passage rather than treating the web as another key lock.
- Equip a Torch and hit the obstructing webs.
- Once you can reach the door, use the Prison Key on the Prison Door.
Look for the webs in front of the barred doorway in the narrow stone passage. Clear that approach before trying the lock.
The Torch solution helped a player who already had the key but could not pass the webs, as confirmed in the June demo discussion. Roots are a different obstacle.

What happens beyond the Prison Door
Entering the prison reaches the demo's ending. The Prison Key is therefore part of the final demo progression, not an invitation to solve every remaining side passage first.
If you are still blocked before entry, identify the immediate problem: webs need the Torch; the named prison lock needs the Prison Key. See the obstacle checklist if you are mixing up a tool barrier and a key door.
