Build the Rotisserie over a Bonfire

Combine Sticks and Planks

The recipe is 2 Sticks + 2 Wood Planks → Rotisserie in hand crafting. The station's item description specifies building it over a Bonfire, so plan it around the fire rather than as an isolated table.

Stay nearby and take food off the fire

Prepare the roast, stay close enough to notice when it is ready, and remove it rather than starting another dungeon trip with the food still cooking. The v1013 update notes explicitly add burning for unattended Rotisserie food.

The roasting setup shown here helps distinguish fire cooking from the Cooking Pot and Cooking Table.

Move from roasting to storage

Once the food is ready, eat what you need or move your supply into a Food Basket before leaving. Preventing burning and slowing spoilage are separate jobs.
