Turn an Iron Pot and Iron Rods into a Cooking Pot

Prepare the pot and three Rods

Use 1 Iron Pot and 3 Iron Rods in the hand-crafting recipe. Keep the single Iron Pot separate from the Rods when checking the construction ingredients.

Iron Rods are also needed for a Workbench, so decide which station you are building before spending the same supply twice.

Choose pot recipes at the finished station

The Cooking Pot is the broth-and-soup station. Use its own recipe menu rather than treating it as a roasting rack or a Cooking Table.

In v1013, Scorpion Tail is a Cooking Pot recipe after the carcass-processing step. Harvesting and preparing a carcass is therefore different from simply picking up a finished meal.

Store the finished food for the trip

Plan cooking and storage together. A Food Basket slows spoilage, while the carrying checklist helps leave room for the food alongside your key, tool and light.

For the v1013 spoilage and carcass changes, continue to cooking and food care.
